 High-temperature α-amylase comes in solid form only, with the low temperature version being either liquid or solid in form. High-temperature α-amylase Properties: 1) Appearance: brown liquid 2) Solubility: dissolves easily in water 3) Specific gravity: 1.15 - 1.25g/ml 4) Optimum pH range: 5.5 - 7.0 5) Optimum temperature range: 90 - 95oC Since this product has excellent heat resistance, it is widely used in the production of amylum, alcohol, beer, monosodium glutamate, brewing, refined sugar, cerealose, textiles, etc. Calcium ion affects the active stability of enzymes, therefore this product will have excellent stability if calcium ion concentration is low. However, for the hydrolization of amylum, we recommend that 50 - 100ppm of calcium ion be added. During spraying and liquefaction, the transition temperature has been known to reach 105 - 110oC, but even at these temperatures hydrolization of amylum can still take place effectively. High-temperature α-amylase is a liquid enzyme (20000U/ml). It is equivalent to Termanyl-120L produced by the NoVo company of Denmark. It is packed in non-toxic plastic tubes (25kg/tube). Low-temperature amylase This product is made and extracted from Bacillus Subtilis through a deep fermentation process in liquid while adhering to strict quality inspection guidelines. It is used in the liquefaction of starch sugar, alcohol, beer, monosodium glutamate, and in the fermentation, textile, printing, dyeing, and desizing industries. Its properties include thermal stability. It has an optimum operative temperature between 60 and 70oC. Between 70 and 90oC, due to the rise in temperature, reaction rates along with inactivation are increased. It can be used in liquefaction processes at 90oC (maximum). At pH 6.0 - 7.0 it is more stable, with optimum operation at pH 6.0, but below pH5.0, inactivation is a serious risk. Solid form can be divided into four kinds: 2000, 3000, 3500, 4000U/g Liquid form can be divided into two kinds: 2000, 3000U/ml Packaging, transportation, and storage: 1) This product is packed in plastic pails 25kg/tube (liquid), or in cartons 10kg/bag (solid) 2) This product is an organic biochemical substance. Sunlight, extreme temperatures and humidity will cause inactivation of the enzyme. Therefore, we advise that you avoid exposure to sun and water while being transported. Storage areas should be kept clean, cool and dry.
